Contribute Data
Contribute excerpt data and links to CFDE GeneReg LDH
- Upon populating the more expressive data model (this UI shows a simplified test case) and layering impact assertions/knowledge onto the graph, centers with new evidence types can contact us about adding their data to this service.
- For some data, this service may be the only RESTful API exposing the content--there is no site with machine-readable exposure of data elements--in which case the excerpt data may be larger than for other entity types.
Primary Considerations
- Data format and access:
- Is your data available in JSON format?
- Are there REST APIs currently available?
- Determine entities and their excerpt content, as well as identify key primary data:
- How is this excerpt data useful on its own?
- Can this key data provide the clients enough information to decide if they want to visit the links to get full data representation?
- How many entities do you have? What kinds of existing or new entities do they link to?
- Will each entity have unique URLs to your site? Or are your entities only addressible at low resolution like files with 1000s or data records or more?
- CFDE GeneReg LDH is not intended for deep modeling of objects. Data for the actual LINKS is currently VERY limited.
- Data updates and synchronization:
- What is the plan for updating CFDE GeneReg LDH entity content and links? Data synchronization, especially automated synchronization to reduce costs and improve latency, is often lacking or expensive.
- We have support for data flows that allow you to submit updates programmatically.
- Knowledge change is a cornerstone of scientific research.
